Rob
Middleton, born 4/28/68, in New Brunswick NJ, is the son of Eileen
Horvath who is herself an honorary member of, and first runner-up for
the last position of, the original "Mouseketeers". Unfortunately,
during the final audition phase, Eileen fell ill to laryngitis and had
to forfeit her qualification to the legendary "Annette Funicello". Rob
originally started playing the drums at the age of 12 but, after a few
years, realized that being in the back of the stage just wasn't his neck
of the woods. By age 23 he had finally decided to take the front of the
stage. Rob has always said, “From that point on I knew it was in the
blood". Since then, and several bands later, Rob has 7 CDs under his
belt and his bands have been rotated on about a dozen radio stations.
He’s also opened for some of the biggest bands in the world like “The
Scorpions", "Quiet Riot", "Dokken", "Sebastian Bach", "Yngwie
Malmsteen", and many others. "This art is in my blood.... and my drug
of choice. It is something I love to do, and if I had a choice on how to
die, I’d choose to got out just like ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbot.... it was
something he loved to do...may you rest in peace brother!”

David
W. Bubb, alias Daveyripps, was born into a musically gifted
family of five on December 5,1964, in Cranford New Jersey. As soon as he
was old enough to realize what the sound was coming from the various
radios and stereos around the house, he found that music spoke to him in
an extraordinary way. Now he just needed to have an instrument, but he
still didn't know what to play. Drums, piano, or maybe the Bass? Then
one day, not too long after his 9th birthday, a hippy friend
of his older brother brought an Ovation 12 string acoustic over the
house and showed him the harmonics used by the guitarist in the classic
rock mega group "YES” on the song ”Roundabout”. Instrument found!! He
tried to hold the guitar himself and was able to understand how this was
done; almost could do it! LOL . He soon bought his first guitar; an
electric with a small practice amp and a Fuzz box. By the time he was
out of high school he was playing better than some of the older
guitarists that had taught him and as well as others that had influenced
him; like Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Hendrix and Ted Nugent. Dave has a
spiritual power that he shares with his guitars; one that he draws
from, and adds to, the songs that he plays. That’s how he has come to be
known as “Daveyripps The Shredding Guitarist”. Dave has been in several
cover bands over the past 3 decades and now shares his talents with
SoundPound. |
